Season update

Posted Tuesday, September 16, 2008 by Coach Roof
Note: as Week 3 begins, Salamanca has a win over Chautauqua Lake, 25-8, 25-16, 25-10 and play at Portville on Wednesday, and at the Falconer Tournament on Saturday.

Vs. Chautauqua Lake:
From the coach: "Nice solid win. We keep working to get better and doing the right things. While games like Westfield and Chautauqua Lake were lopsided, those are good, quality programs that have always done very well. Westfield was returning four starters. CL is very well coached and has a couple of real nice young players.
"We got strong all around play from just about every one. Cassie Crandall again stepped up and played very well at the net and served very well. That is crucial for us. We need her to play well to complete our lineup."

Stats for CL game: Ashley Abrams (7 kills, 12 digs 8 service points)
Katie Auge: 17 kills, 2 blocks, 17 SP,. 2 aces, 15 digs)
Hannah Reynolds: 7 kills, 2 blocks, 8 SP
Brittany Haines: 36 assists, 6 digs
Cassie Crandall: 3 blocks, 2 kills, 8 digs, 2 assists
Liv Beattie: 13 digs
