Falconer Tournament results:

Salamanca scores:
Salamanca 25-15, 25-15 over Jamestown
Salamanca 25-19, 25-13 over Falconer
Salamanca 25-22, 25-17 over Westfield
playoffs:
Quarterfinals: Salamanca 25-19, 25-18 over Cattaraugus-Little Valley
Semfinals: Salamanca 25-16, 25-21 over Portville
Finals: Randolph 26-24, 28-26 over Salamanca

>From the coach: "While losing is always disappointing, I thought we played exceptionally well most of the day. Two two-point overtime losses in the finals to a Randolph team that was 9-1 on the year (only loss to us) is nothing to feel ashamed about.
Yes, we go into these tournaments to win them and we're not looking for moral victories (how's that for coachspeak), but this is far from a devastating loss. Sometimes you need to be taken a step back to move forward, and we hope that's the case here.
There are area's we still need to get improve on and this tournament showed just that. That's why we play these in-season tournaments. To learn and to get ready for the the postseason.
This tourney is now behind us. We need to keep working hard and keep focused on the big picture.

Tournament notes: Ashley Abrams was named tourney MVP and Katie Auge to the all-tournament team .... Kayla Siperek saw significant playing time in the back row and did a nice job for us defensively. This is the area we HAVE to get better at and with Kayla and Molly Cooper beginning to fill those roles nicely, and with the return soon of Christina LeBlanc, I'm anxious to see our improvement.
