Haines Named Player of the Week for Week 3

Posted Monday, September 22, 2008 by Robert Crandall
Player of the Week:
Week No. 3. Brittany Haines
A senior, Brittany is averaging 35 assists per game and this past week led the Warriors to two CCAA wins and to a strong second-place finish at the Falconer Tournament.
The ultimate hustler, Brittany directed wins over Chautauqua Lake, 25-8, 25-16, 25-10, and a strong Portville team, 25-17, 25-10, 25-22 as the Warriors improved to 6-0 .
At the Falconer Tournament, Brittany played 12 games without a break ... that's asking a lot from a setter who plays as hard as she does in a 5-1 system.
Throughout this season, Brittany has shown her composure in tight situations and continues to improve on making better decisions.
It is because of her, our attack is hard to defend. She can set the one ball (quick middle) as easily and as well as she can set the four (outside) or six (back) .. and she knows how to get our back row hitters involved.
Without question, and without prejudice, she is THE top setter in the CCAA, all divisions.
