Class C: Salamanca moved to 19-0 with a 25-21, 25-19, 25-15 victory over Nazareth. It’s been a season of firsts for the Warriors, who followed up last week’s first Section VI title with Saturday’s win.

“They were the first team we didn’t know anything about other than they are usually a very good team,” said coach Tom Roof. “We were going to play our game and see where that took us, and if we have to make some adjustments we would. I figured if was could play defense, pass and get the ball to our hitters, we’d be in good shape. And that’s the way it played out.”

Ashley Abrams had 13 kills, Kaite Auge added 10 and Hannah Reynolds had eight kills and four blocks. Setter Brittany Haines had 39 assists.

The Warriors have won 18 of their matches in three games. Randolph was the only team to take Salamanca beyond three games, losing a five-set match. Eight of the 10 players on the roster are seniors.
